Seasonal restaurants like 2941 change their menu all the time as new products become available (for example, here is a post from last Summer), so I like to try to keep stopping in and see what is new. Here is a look at the menu as it was at the end of April.
Beef Tartare with baby kale, cornichon, Dijon mustard, fried potatoes. Those potatoes were pretty killer.
Tart with mangalica ham, creme fraiche, and onion. Good, but not great – I probably wouldn’t order it again.
“Lobster Roll” with tomato gelee and avocado. Very light and refreshing.
Foie gras with strawberry sauce and Israeli couscous (Jasper’s dish).
Smoked Burrata Ravioli with spicy duck and escarole (Jasper’s dish).
Spring Cassolette with creamy spinach, fiddlehead ferns, bacon, fava beans, and duck egg. This was my favorite dish of the evening! I might have to try to make something like this at home.
Rib Eye with potatoes, ramps and sauce choron (Jasper’s dish).
Lamb Orrechiette with mint and ricotta. This was very satisfying and the texture of the pasta was perfect.
Flourless dark chocolate cake with sweet chili caramel, dark chocolate mousse, and mango sorbet (Jasper’s dish).
Rhubarb tart with mascarpone sorbet – delicious.
